Two stations, the railway crossing, the depressed car parks, the buses, the connections programme… all make us think of a park where there are cuts through which the tops of the trees that grow at lower levels can be seen.

These cuts and folds allow us to get closer to the vehicles that have to move within the park…

Placing ourselves on a different level makes them a spectacle:

It is the garden of the passing train….

They are car parks from which trees grow…

From Plaza España, a transparent metal roof covers the FEVE building and the Terminus Hotel. It forms a single railway front together with the Soller train.

There begins a walkway that follows the tracks, passes under the bridge in Calle Jacinto Verdaguer and continues along the track…

Under this canopy, the stations, and next to it a paved area facing the avenues, from there an orderly forest covers a vegetated ground…The design of the irrigation, together with minimal steps make this possible, this forest is crossed by two walkways – pavements, ballast and marés stones – flanked by artificial lighting, one of them leads from the buses to the station, the other leads, climbing slightly, towards the central, emptiest area of the park: a place for games and races…

Under this forest there are small paths of water, or benches to sit on, or a green area to hide in?

Further on, in the park, these cuttings in the ground give a glimpse of the vegetation that grows at the level of the car parks…

The park, flanked by a side promenade for seating, leads under two large canopies, which would be the square and the site of the buildings for public events…

There, to one side, we see the upper part of the train running between the trees that emerge from the cut that allows us to place the rest of the building programme more closely linked to the street. This end is a balcony, where all the car and train connections are resolved…

This park, it seems to us, has brought to light some of the qualities that this place had before it was left in the streets….. That is why the elements that move: the passers-by, the games, the trains, the rushes… and their echo in the cuts and folds of the terrain, are what constitute the project.
