In 1967, Alvaro Siza made a trip with several friends along Morocco, including Fez. Seven years before, Jean-François Zevaco built the Thermal Vals Sidi Hazarem (Fez). There is no record that Siza visited this trip during his trip. However, both swimming pools have several formal similarities (and differences). The relation with the terrain is evident in both proyects. Nevertheless, while Zevaco buried one of the swimming pools, the other one floats above it. Siza, on the contrary, integrates booth pools in the stone of the contexts, visually connecting them with the sea.

CAMPO DE  INTERSECCIONES II: Jean-François Zevaco vs Alvaro Siza
